Software Engineering Manager (Cardiac Ablation Solutions)

Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; minimum 4 days per week onsite

Salary: $150,400–$225,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead software engineering teams responsible for the architecture, design, development, sustaining, and release of complex medical device software.
• Define technical direction, development priorities, execution plans, roadmaps, and product-level tradeoffs.
• Coordinate software deliverables across multiple sites while meeting FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee risk management, defect resolution, release milestones, resource planning, estimation, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, retain, and develop high-performing software engineering talent.
• Champion software architecture, cybersecurity, testability, documentation, quality, maintainability, scalability, and product performance practices.

Requirements

• Must work onsite at least 4 days per week in Mounds View, Minnesota.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience and 5+ years of managerial experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience and 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to combine technical leadership, people management, execution discipline, and long-term engineering strategy.
• Familiarity with Python and C++.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design, implementation, code review, integration, and requirements traceability.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical product software, IEC 62304, FDA guidance, software lifecycle processes, configuration management, and regulated product development.
• Experience with embedded software, real-time systems, imaging, mapping, medical device platforms, hardware integration, data visualization, or distributed systems.
• Experience collaborating with Quality, Regulatory, Systems, Test, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineering partners.
• Strong communication skills, technical report writing experience, and an entrepreneurial approach.
