AI Quality Assurance Engineering Manager

Location: Lake Oswego, Portland, Oregon, United States; 4 days in office. Travel requirement: 10%.

Salary: $170,600–$234,600 annually. Bonus eligible; not commission eligible.

What you will do

• Define and enforce pod-wide quality strategy while personally authoring and maintaining test automation.
• Develop testing methodologies for embedded AI components, including LLMs, computer vision, and speech recognition.
• Manage AI agents, evaluate AI-driven testing tools, and address model bias.
• Train cross-functional engineering teams on modern testing tools and automation practices.
• Coordinate regression testing, release management, and cloud or virtualization test environments.
• Track quality metrics, identify coverage gaps, and perform root cause analysis on production incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience leading software quality strategy and managing global teams.
• Hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and executing automation scripts with Playwright, C#, Python, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of AI concepts including LLM, NLP, and ML, with experience testing AI components, managing AI agents, and using MCP servers.
• Experience with release management, regression strategy, and virtualization or cloud test environments.
• Strong coaching and communication skills for influencing stakeholders and communicating technical risk.

Nice to have

• Experience in global work environments or construction back-office and accounting functions.
• Experience with performance, security, chatbot, and embedded AI testing.
• Hands-on proficiency with Jira and C#.
