Senior Customer Engineer, Named - Portland, OR

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with Account Executives, design bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and proofs of concept across security, networking, and developer platforms.
• Guide technical onboarding, implementation, adoption, health monitoring, risk management, and expansion throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical and executive contact, maintaining trusted relationships from discovery through renewal and expansion.
• Own commercial outcomes through quota-carrying responsibilities, revenue retention, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and technical Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP responses, security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad expertise in web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment, with knowledge of SaaS metrics, business value translation, and enterprise sales cycles.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate with C-suite stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Portland, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, large language model orchestration, or retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for integration scripts, API connectors, and edge computing functions.
