Social Video Editor (Contract)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

What you will do

• Create original social-first videos from shoot through final delivery, including versioning.
• Adapt content for Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and other social platforms with channel-specific cuts.
• Develop strong hooks, retention drivers, pacing, sound design, and clear social-first narratives.
• Produce multiple formats, durations, openings, endings, and creative variants for testing.
• Create lightweight motion treatments, titles, subtitles, screen recordings, and graphic systems.
• Manage assets, feedback, project files, exports, quality standards, and creative testing with channel managers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience editing social or digital video.
• Portfolio demonstrating platform-native storytelling, pacing, craft, range, and attention to detail.
• Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro or an equivalent professional editing tool, plus fluency in CapCut.
• Working knowledge of After Effects or similar motion tools.
• Ability to turn imperfect or loosely structured footage into compelling stories while managing high-volume workflows and deadlines.
• Strong project organization, communication, proactive asset-gap identification, and data-informed creative judgment.

• Experience using new tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve editing efficiency and creative outcomes.
