Editor (Commercial Content)

Location: Hybrid, with an office in Hudson Yards, New York, United States

Base salary: $95,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Edit commercials, branded content, sizzle reels, social spots, and case studies.
• Translate scripts, storyboards, and selects into compelling visual stories.
• Manage media organization, syncing, versioning, editorial timelines, cutdowns, social formats, and revisions.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, agency creatives, post producers, motion, sound, color, and VFX teams.
• Incorporate client and internal feedback and prepare timelines for online conform and delivery.
• Maintain file management and data backup workflows across multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience editing commercial or branded content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects and Resolve.
• Strong narrative instincts, editorial rhythm, and attention to performance, pacing, and visual composition.
• Familiarity with broadcast, digital, social, and OLV delivery requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from the Hudson Yards office in New York.

Nice to have

• Motion graphics and VFX editing experience.
• Familiarity with audio editing, sound design, and color grading.
• Experience in client-facing roles or leading sessions.
• Previous experience at an editorial house, advertising agency, or production company.
• Experience with Frame.io, Dropbox, LucidLink, Slack, and Google Drive.
