Short-Form Video Editor (YouTube)

Location: United States (remote)

Compensation: $500–$1,000 per 60-second video depending on complexity, with potential for a monthly retainer.

What you will do

• Turn founder-led, scripted ideas into clear, memorable visual stories.
• Build short-form videos using motion graphics, design, typography, UI treatments, sourced footage, imagery, music, and sound.
• Develop visual explanations for concepts related to YouTube, media, business, storytelling, and creativity.
• Use pacing, visual reveals, pattern changes, sound, and editorial judgment to maintain attention.
• Source footage, images, screenshots, references, and other assets that strengthen the edit.
• Help establish hirify.global's editing language and collaborate directly with the founder and Head of Content Marketing through multiple versions.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling beyond clean cuts, captions, and punch-ins.
• Excellent motion graphics and design skills, including the ability to create visual treatments from scratch.
• Strong understanding of retention, pacing, rhythm, music, sound, and editorial structure.
• Good design taste, creative problem-solving instincts, and the ability to balance complex treatments with simple editing.
• Ability to work independently, communicate reliably, share ideas, incorporate direct feedback, and work through multiple versions in a fast-moving remote team.
• Experience with After Effects or similar motion and design tools is strongly preferred.
