Research Technician (Urofacial Syndrome)

Location: Oxford Road, Manchester, United Kingdom. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered. Candidates must demonstrate the right to work in the UK; this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker sponsorship.

What you will do

• Perform histology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and related experiments.
• Evaluate pathology and treatment in a mouse model of urofacial syndrome.
• Maintain the urofacial syndrome mouse colony.
• Conduct gene and protein expression analysis.
• Apply whole-tissue organ bath physiology techniques, including myography.

Requirements

• Knowledge of murine models of disease.
• Practical experience in histology, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, and viral vectors such as AAVs.
• Experience with project-specific laboratory techniques, including organ bath physiology and myography.
• Ability to demonstrate the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with western blotting, microscopy, and image analysis.
• Experience with VSOP, cystometry, or organ bath physiology.
• Experience with bladder dissection.
