Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: In office in London, UK or Berlin, Germany

Salary: £70,000–£120,000 base/bonus plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship production-ready React and TypeScript components and complex data-driven application features.
• Translate world-modeling theory and mathematical formalizations into software requirements and implementation tests.
• Convert novel UX/UI designs into performant, responsive, and accessible experiences across devices.
• Define frontend code-quality, testing, documentation, and review standards while providing technical leadership.
• Profile and optimize rendering performance for complex interactions and visualizations.
• Collaborate with product, UX, AI, backend, and infrastructure specialists to define robust APIs and frontend architecture.

Requirements

• Expertise with React, TypeScript, modern HTML, and CSS.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering rich web applications with complex user interactions.
• Experience profiling and debugging performance with browser developer tools.
• Ability to take visible technical leadership, mediate standards discussions, and own delivery to specification.
• Rigorous approach to documenting and versioning components for external audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and comfort working asynchronously.

Nice to have

• Experience with process- or model-oriented interfaces such as BPMN, UML, systems-dynamics models, or graphs.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2, ARIA, focus management, and keyboard interaction patterns.
• Experience maintaining a documented, semantically versioned library, preferably open source.
• Experience with CRDTs, WebAssembly pipelines, Canvas, or WebGL.
