Frontend Software Engineer (TypeScript/React)

What you will do

• Build modern, responsive, fast, accessible and maintainable web experiences for holiday search, discovery and booking.
• Work with Product, Design, Engineering and Analytics to turn customer problems into intuitive journeys.
• Develop reusable UI components, design-system elements and design tokens across web and mobile experiences.
• Improve page speed, rendering, bundle size, Core Web Vitals, reliability and observability.
• Collaborate on APIs and data contracts with backend engineers and contribute to the frontend platform migration.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code review and pragmatic technical guidance.

Requirements

• Experience building server-rendered, performant web applications.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, browser behaviour, accessibility and inclusive design.
• Experience creating and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Experience working with APIs, ideally GraphQL and REST.
• Strong unit, integration and end-to-end testing practices, with an understanding of performance, monitoring, reliability and observability.
• Ability to make sound technical trade-offs, deliver incrementally and collaborate across frontend and backend boundaries.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React or Preact, Vite, Storybook, GraphQL, Playwright, Vitest or Jest.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Appium, Capacitor, feature flags or design tokens.
