Senior Frontend Developer (React)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be based in the UK

Salary: £75,000–£85,000 per annum

Work with an innovative client developing fully interactive virtual learning spaces and virtual reality experiences for education and healthcare.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement features and components across the application and React-based editor.
• Build frontend experiences for web, desktop with Electron, and cloud/edge services.
• Write clean, efficient, documented, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with designers and Unity developers using Agile workflows.
• Participate in discovery, roadmap and sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
• Identify architectural improvements and troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application code and cloud-based APIs for performance, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of React, including hooks, Context API, and modern state management with Redux Toolkit.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency with Material UI.
• Experience or interest in integrating AI/ML solutions into web applications.
• Must be based in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Electron, Storybook, UI/UX, Three.js, Python, or Jira.
• Experience or interest in Unity, WebGL, or similar interactive technologies.
