Engineering Manager, AI Platforms

Location: Miami or New York, United States; hybrid with office attendance 2–3 times per week

Base salary: $232,000–$280,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage squad performance, set goals, track progress, and mentor engineering team members.
• Lead a team focused on foundational AI and ML capabilities for the broader AI organization.
• Translate AI and ML requirements into scalable technical architectures and reusable platform solutions.
• Define and execute the roadmap for AI platform and infrastructure capabilities with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Drive development across ML pipelines, compute, model evaluation, AI infrastructure, and platform scalability.
• Improve engineering productivity through AI-assisted development practices and establish strong technical documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, AI infrastructure, or related technical domains.
• 3+ years leading direct reports and a proven record of developing engineering teams.
• Experience building or leading ML pipelines, AI/ML platforms, foundational AI systems, or related infrastructure.
• Experience with compute infrastructure, model evaluation, scalable AI platforms, or machine learning systems.
• Strong skills in system design, architecture, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional delivery.
• Previous experience managing teams of AI engineers, ML engineers, or data scientists.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google ADK, Langfuse, OpenAI APIs, Gemini APIs, Python, Flask or FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, SQL, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, or New Relic.
