Engineering Leader (AI/Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States; 3 days per week in the Financial District office

Salary: $200K–$275K plus equity

hirify.global is building an AI-driven healthcare data platform that helps health plans make faster, more accurate care decisions and reduce administrative waste.

What you will do

• Architect AI/ML workflows that process claims, medical records, and healthcare data to evaluate optimal care paths.
• Lead platform integrations and rollouts for enterprise health plan customers.
• Own end-to-end feature development, from requirements and architecture through implementation and testing.
• Build systems that ingest medical standards of care and evaluate provider adherence.
• Develop AI/ML pipelines for handwritten clinical notes, information extraction, and automated recommendations.
• Establish engineering practices, shape the technical roadmap, and lead team growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building software applications.
• Previous experience leading engineering teams as a tech lead or engineering manager.
• Strong product sense, system design skills, and experience defining requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on ability to architect robust systems, establish engineering practices, and deliver production code.
• Experience with machine learning and large language models in end-user applications.
• Experience with healthcare data formats including EDI X12, HL7, FHIR, and payer flat files.
