Engineering Manager (Government Compliance)

Location: Remote U.S.; must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Salary: $224,000–$263,000 base pay annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Deliver multi-quarter government product initiatives covering compliance workflows, FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, and customer integrations.
• Partner with Product, Design, and early design partners to translate evolving requirements into focused engineering plans.
• Manage scope, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery velocity in a 0→1 product environment.
• Establish engineering standards, operating rhythms, and practices that scale with the product and team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering management role.
• Strong technical foundation, ideally including experience as a senior engineer, with expertise in architecture, system design, and technical tradeoffs.
• Experience building early-stage or 0→1 products with rapidly evolving requirements.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as fintech or healthcare.
• Track record of hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers, delivering complex multi-quarter initiatives, and building strong engineering culture.
• Clear communication, sound decision-making, and willingness to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.

Nice to have

• FedRAMP, CMMC, or government domain experience.
