Infrastructure Engineer Staff (Network Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Plan, research, evaluate, and design computer, network, storage, cloud, and end-user infrastructure solutions.
• Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, Fortigate, and FTD firewalls.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing 24×7 infrastructure support.
• Resolve network incidents, perform configuration audits and updates, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical analysis, administration, troubleshooting, cost estimates, recommendations, and project planning support.
• Prepare technical documentation and may train or mentor other team members.

Requirements

• Seven years of direct Network Operations support experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Advanced understanding of network communications technologies and experience resolving complex network issues and projects.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM-DDI, routing, switching, WAN, LAN, wireless, and data center networking.
• Experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools such as Splunk and SolarWinds.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and knowledge of network security practices and firewall standards.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the utility or energy sector.
• ServiceNow or similar ITIL experience.
