Backend Engineer (Go/TypeScript)

hirify.global is hiring a backend engineer to build resilient APIs and services for SaaS and fintech-related products.

What you will do

• Research, design, and implement high-performance, resilient APIs and services.
• Develop maintainable, clean code with strong reliance on developer testing.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver robust solutions in short development iterations.
• Make technical trade-offs based on business priorities, user needs, and long-term sustainability.
• Share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Experience using autonomous AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Aider to plan, write, test, and debug code end-to-end.
• Hands-on proficiency in Go and/or TypeScript.
• Deep familiarity with SaaS architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Ability to lead technical projects, set priorities, own outcomes, and manage multiple priorities; a B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with TDD, Extreme Programming, or Kanban.
• Experience with B2B or B2B2C self-serve SaaS.
• Background in fintech or payments.
