Software Engineering Intern (2027)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Mountain View, California; San Francisco, California; or Vancouver, Canada. Apply to one location only.

Hourly rate: $54–$60 USD in the San Francisco Bay Area, $51.50–$60 USD in Bellevue, and $40–$52 USD in Canada.

What you will do

• Build features that contribute directly to the Databricks platform.
• Work with engineers across full-stack, backend, infrastructure, systems, tools, cloud, databases, and customer-facing product teams.
• Manage an assigned project end-to-end, including design, coding, and incorporating feedback.
• Learn to build a platform that scales quickly while maintaining quality and security.

Requirements

• Graduate in fall 2027 or spring 2028 with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Implementation experience with a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Ability and interest in solving ambiguous problems collaboratively.
• Must be able to work from one of the listed Databricks office locations.

Nice to have

• Enrollment in a formal co-op program for the 16-week summer co-op option.
