TL;DR

Director, AI Execution Assurance & Operations (AI): Developing enterprise AI capability roadmaps, operating models, measurement frameworks, and optimization recommendations with an accent on governed adoption, platform reliability, reuse, and investment efficiency. Focus on evaluating LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, cloud-native architectures, AI governance, production performance, and cross-functional technical dependencies.

Location: Edina, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $135,200–$236,600 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

Develop an 18- to 24-month enterprise AI capability roadmap covering priorities, dependencies, maturity, risks, and investments.
Assess AI engineering, platform, operations, quality, reliability, clinical data, tooling, automation, and governance capabilities to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
Establish capability ownership models, decision rights, technical dependencies, service interfaces, and operational handoffs.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platform capabilities, engineering practices, unit economics, and investment options.
Define measurement frameworks for AI adoption, reuse, delivery efficiency, quality, reliability, governance, cost, and engineering experience.
Advise executive and senior technical leaders on AI capability decisions, investment tradeoffs, organizational risks, and value realization.

Requirements

7 or more years of relevant experience, including senior technical leadership.
Experience in software engineering, platform engineering, cloud architecture, AI/ML, or enterprise technology transformation.
Experience developing enterprise technology strategies, capability roadmaps, technical operating models, and platform modernization initiatives.
Strong knowledge of LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, model gateways, orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and AI governance.
Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and production reliability engineering.
Excellent executive communication, analytical problem-solving, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

Relevant degree.
Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, and modern observability tools.
