Location: Remote within Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin; locations include Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, and Minneapolis. Regional travel of up to 50% may be required.
Annual base salary: $156,100–$234,500 USD. The role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

develops data platform technologies, including Portworx, a cloud-native platform for managing stateful applications across Kubernetes, multiple clouds, and on-premises environments.
What you will do
- Provide deep technical and business expertise to customers running stateful applications in containers.
- Design solutions for automated Day 2 data management workflows across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Present complex technical and business concepts as clear solutions aligned with customer outcomes.
- Support the adoption of Kubernetes, container platforms, and modern data platform technologies.
- Collaborate with customers and co-selling partners in a customer-facing architect role.
- Coach teams and influence desired technical and business outcomes without relying on formal authority.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a customer-facing senior-level technical architect.
- 5+ years of Linux administration and/or development experience, with an industry-recognized administration-level or higher certification.
- 3+ years of Kubernetes administration experience and KCNA or higher certification.
- Certification-level fluency in OpenShift, Rancher, or another Kubernetes orchestration environment.
- Certification-level fluency in cloud IaaS, DevOps, data engineering, big data, and database operations.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline applications.
Nice to have
- Experience presenting on stage, working with customers, and providing thought leadership.
- Experience with VMware, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack.
