Litigated File Handler - NDA (Insurance Litigation)

Location: Bolton, Parklands Office, UK. Hybrid working with attendance at the office at least one day per week. Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, 35 hours per week.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of litigated road traffic accident suspected-fraud claims from litigation through resolution.
• Review and analyse evidence, develop case strategies with clients, and identify strategic litigation opportunities.
• Work with lead lawyers, claims handlers, legal support staff, and other case participants to complete investigations.
• Protect client positions in proceedings, comply with court timetables, and undertake advocacy where required and cost-effective.
• Maintain accurate case-management records, client reporting, management information, billing, and file documentation.
• Delegate appropriate tasks, meet client and internal KPIs, and support commercially effective case outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience handling civil litigation claims, legal files, or road traffic accident pre-litigated and/or litigated caseloads.
• Understanding of insurance litigation practice, indemnity principles, the litigation process, and the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, client-care, written, verbal, and listening skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, anticipate problems, identify solutions, and work under pressure.
• Experience with time recording, billing systems, case-management systems, and strong IT skills.
• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with practice rights is desirable but not essential; legal qualifications such as ILEX or LPC are relevant.
