Recruiting Manager

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; 4-5 days onsite at the Los Angeles (Hawthorne) office

Salary: $150,000-$185,000 base compensation annually, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-6 recruiters and sourcers.
• Partner with engineering, product, manufacturing, operations, and G&A leaders to turn business priorities into hiring strategies, timelines, and pipeline goals.
• Monitor pipeline health, time to fill, offer acceptance, and recruiter productivity, using data to recommend improvements.
• Coach recruiters on role scoping, intake, sourcing, candidate assessment, closing, and candidate experience.
• Strengthen structured and inclusive interviewing through calibration and hiring manager training.
• Build scalable recruiting playbooks and use AI and automation for outreach, talent mapping, and reporting while verifying accuracy and reducing bias.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical or engineering roles.
• 3+ years of experience managing recruiters, including coaching, feedback, and people development.
• Experience building recruiting strategies, managing multiple searches, and delivering against timelines and business goals.
• Strong understanding of software, hardware, systems, or manufacturing engineering roles.
• Experience with recruiting metrics, ATS systems, sourcing tools, and structured interview practices; Greenhouse is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience recruiting in defense, aerospace, government, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience building recruiting teams in an early-stage or high-growth company.
• Experience managing full-time recruiters, contractors, agencies, or RPO partners.
• Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pave, Asana, or Headcount365.
• Experience with AI-enabled recruiting tools, enablement programs, playbooks, or interview training.
