Finance Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

Salary: £30,201–£31,790 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare and post finance journals and perform balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation activities.
• Produce month-end and daily finance reporting, including analysis of balance sheet, P&L, and average balance movements.
• Develop and maintain Excel- and Power Query-based automation, including macros for journal preparation and approval workflows.
• Investigate finance data and reporting issues, deliver control checks, and support corrective journal activity.
• Maintain documentation and end-user databases supporting the Term Deposits control environment.
• Collaborate with Ledger Control, FDAO, Prism, Finance Platforms, and business teams to ensure accurate data transfer and reporting.

Requirements

• Accountancy degree completed within the last two years, with ACCA or CIMA exemptions leaving no more than six exams, or part-qualified accountant with fewer than six exams remaining.
• Strong interest in financial control and a questioning approach.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in the Edinburgh office at least two days per week or 40% of the time.
