Operations Specialist - Operations Vendor Oversight, AVP (AI)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model with regular in-person collaboration at the office.

What you will do

• Oversee strategic outsourced services through governance frameworks, recurring due diligence, service reviews, and regulatory controls.
• Develop and maintain service catalogues, Service Level Agreements, management information, and Key Performance Indicators.
• Coordinate enquiries, complaints, incidents, escalations, and communication between hirify.global business owners and external service providers.
• Support regulatory and strategic projects, budget planning, forecasting, invoice validation, service-credit monitoring, and management reporting.
• Help establish the vendor oversight model for a new retirement savings account platform.
• Identify and shape AI, machine learning, workflow automation, and data analytics use cases that improve exception management, controls, and operational transparency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Industry knowledge of wealth management, asset management, or retirement savings.
• Ability to build sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders, external specialists, and service providers.
• Strong judgement, ownership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills in a complex matrix organization.
• Practical understanding of AI, automation, and data analytics, including responsible use of AI outputs.
• Experience with process automation, workflow design, digital tools, Python, Power Automate, SQL, or data visualization is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience in service provider management, procurement, or finance.
• Knowledge of German outsourcing regulations.
• Written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
