Health and Safety Specialist

Location: Las Rozas, Madrid, Spain. The role requires availability to travel within Spain and Portugal and prioritizes in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Implement annual health and safety objectives, improvement plans, standards, and management systems.
• Prepare workplace risk assessments and coordinate safety inspections across work centers.
• Manage outsourced health and safety providers, audits, inspections, legal compliance, and emergency response programs.
• Manage health and safety projects and daily operations across multi-site or country-wide programs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and occupational diseases and follow up on preventive actions.
• Support labour inspections, worker council meetings, employee training, and health and safety communications.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Education required by local legislation, including the three preventive specialties: safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics and psychosociology.
• Fluent English required in written and verbal communication.
• Deep knowledge of local legislation and some knowledge of European legislation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and technical skills.
• Availability to travel within Spain and Portugal.
