Senior Development Manager - Cambridge (Fintech)

What you will do

• Plan and manage application development and client delivery across an assigned payment gateway application portfolio.
• Lead teams responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting software applications and internal technology services.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including releases, production support, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Resolve critical delivery, quality, operational, and engineering issues while serving as an escalation point.
• Manage managers, supervisors, engineers, analysts, and delivery resources, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with product, security, risk, audit, compliance, and operations teams to ensure resilient and controlled payment services.

Requirements

• At least nine years of experience in software development, application delivery, technology operations, or platform engineering.
• At least seven years of management or supervisory experience, including managing managers, supervisors, or senior technical leads.
• Experience leading application development teams delivering complex, business-critical, or high-volume technology services.
• Knowledge of application development, software engineering, architecture, quality engineering, production support, and client delivery.
• Knowledge of cloud and DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automation, observability, infrastructure as code, and modern deployment practices.
• Knowledge of regulated technology environments, including PCI, security, risk, audit, compliance evidence, and operational controls.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, financial technology, regulated technology, or other high-availability environments.
• Knowledge of Worldpay and hirify.global products, services, payment gateway capabilities, and customer-facing technology platforms.
