Senior Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: Cardiff, London, or remote within the UK; occasional meetings in London may be required. Relocation to the UK is supported.

Salary: £138,000–£175,000 + equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead multiple autonomous engineering teams in an organisation of approximately 20–30 people.
• Manage 2–3 Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Senior Engineers.
• Grow and establish new engineering squads as the organisation expands.
• Own technical and delivery outcomes across the area in partnership with Product Managers and Technical Leads.
• Support, coach, and develop engineering leaders and create an inclusive environment for high performance.
• Contribute to organisation-wide engineering practices, standards, and technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience as an engineering manager with a strong technical and delivery background.
• Previous experience working as a software engineer; hands-on coding is not required for this role.
• Experience directly managing 2–3 Engineering Managers and leading organisations of approximately 20 engineers.
• Strong people leadership, delivery and execution, technical influence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive engineering and operational excellence and support the growth of engineering talent.
• Applicants must be based in the UK or able to relocate to the UK; visa sponsorship is available.
