Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Austria (Remote); travel to customer sites domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Salary: €90,000–€100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Deliver customer integrations, validation procedures, field tests, and commissioning for hirify.global robotic systems.
• Design site-specific solutions and oversee solution architecture, network infrastructure, and equipment configuration.
• Provide on-site field support, diagnose operational issues, perform troubleshooting, and repair field-replaceable unit sub-assemblies.
• Inspect and check out hardware, RMAs, and software before shipment and customer integrations.
• Create technical documentation, project summaries, solution documents, interface control documents, and integration scoping documents.
• Train customers and partners, collect feedback, and collaborate with product and engineering teams on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, systems engineering, mechatronic engineering, robotics engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in field applications engineering, solution architecture, system design, or a similar role.
• Experience working directly with customers and delivering technical solutions.
• Ability to plan and execute integrations of hirify.global products at customer sites.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable software.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu.
• Familiarity with Python, C++, TypeScript, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
