Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Geospatial Navigation)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; hybrid work across the corporate office, customer sites, and outdoor field-testing environments. Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR regulations. Travel nationally and internationally, up to 75%, is required.

What you will do

• Lead technical consultations with enterprise prospects and defense clients on geospatial navigation, positioning, and timing requirements.
• Architect multi-sensor hardware and software solutions using GNSS, INS, and FOG technologies.
• Lead the design, execution, and validation of Proof of Concept projects in real-world field environments.
• Deliver technical presentations, executive briefings, product demonstrations, and whiteboard sessions.
• Coordinate customer feedback and product requirements with Product Management and R&D engineering teams.
• Partner with sales executives on deal strategy, technical objections, customer integrations, and enterprise sales cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Geomatics, Systems Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or systems engineering in a complex high-tech hardware, software, or defense environment.
• Advanced knowledge of GNSS, INS, sensor fusion, position-velocity-orientation algorithms, and complex system integration.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR and EAR due to access to defense technologies and trade-controlled technical data.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex technical solutions to C-level executives and technical review boards.
• Must be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally up to 75% and work in office, customer-site, and field-testing environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, subsea or maritime, autonomous vehicle, or robotics accounts.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, ROS, SDKs, APIs, GUIs, or command-line interfaces.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM, JIRA, and CAD viewers.
