Senior DevOps Engineer (Voice)

Location: United Kingdom; primarily remote with occasional visits to the Bristol or London office

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain application infrastructure in collaboration with DevOps and development teams.
• Develop tooling and automation for product deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Chef across development and production environments.
• Manage Linux servers from the command line and support in-house and third-party applications.
• Create Grafana dashboards and alerts using Prometheus and Alertmanager.
• Document best practices and participate in incident resolution and the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and experience working at the command line.
• Experience with Chef or other configuration management tools.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Understanding of networking, including DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go, plus a foundational understanding of security practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Knowledge of SIP and RTP voice or video protocols.
• Experience with AWS, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, or Ansible.
• Experience working with globally distributed remote teams.
