Senior Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps)

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps): Defining, building, and operating the infrastructure and tooling for a rapidly growing warehousing and logistics business with an accent on supporting high-velocity deployment of applications and services at scale. Focus on ensuring stability, reliability, and automation across multiple cloud providers.

Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire (Hybrid), onsite circa once every 4 weeks.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across a wide range of cloud providers, using Kubernetes.
• Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform on Terraform Cloud.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems via Grafana.
• Drive a culture of DevOps best-practice across teams.
• Mentor and guide less-senior DevOps/infrastructure engineers.

Requirements

• Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles in a high-growth tech company (scale-up) or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform), containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling.
• Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions), automation frameworks, and self-service developer tooling (Backstage).
• Strong programming skills in either Go or Typescript, and experience with configuration management tools.
