TL;DR
Senior Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps): Defining, building, and operating the infrastructure and tooling for a rapidly growing warehousing and logistics business with an accent on supporting high-velocity deployment of applications and services at scale. Focus on ensuring stability, reliability, and automation across multiple cloud providers.
Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire, UK; hybrid with approximately one day per week onsite

What you will do
- Define, build, and operate infrastructure and developer tooling for user-facing applications, internal services, and engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable self-service, repeatable deployments, and high-throughput delivery.
- Manage multi-cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, including provisioning, monitoring, cost optimization, performance, and reliability improvements.
- Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terraform Cloud to standardize environments and reduce manual processes.
- Support monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting with Grafana, including production health, incident detection, root-cause analysis, and recovery.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortems while improving deployment practices, rollback strategies, security hardening, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or a comparable role in a high-growth technology company.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Terraform; Docker; Kubernetes; and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions, plus automation frameworks and developer tooling.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or TypeScript, with experience using configuration management tools.
- Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams, communicate technical trade-offs, and drive adoption of infrastructure standards.
- Ability to work onsite in Wallingford approximately one day per week.

- Experience in robotics or startup/scale-up environments.
- Experience working across multiple cloud platforms rather than being tied to a single vendor.
- Experience with Backstage or similar self-service developer tooling.
