Staff Data Engineer (Python/Airflow)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide data architecture strategy and long-term data platform design.
• Evaluate major technical designs, establish engineering best practices, and advise leadership on data and product roadmaps.
• Develop and manage scalable ETL workflows and data pipelines with Airflow, DBT, Python, and Snowflake.
• Build streaming pipelines with Confluent Kafka and support large-scale batch and streaming analytics.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, data quality frameworks, monitoring dashboards, and SLA compliance processes.
• Collaborate with Solutions Delivery, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, and Enterprise Services teams on data-related technical needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience developing and optimizing scalable pipelines with Apache Airflow and Python.
• Experience building Kafka streaming pipelines, tuning Kafka and Hive systems, and using Spark for batch and streaming analytics.
• Advanced SQL experience with data warehouses, AWS data processing, cloud infrastructure, and Python-based automation.
• Experience with Datadog dashboards, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins CI/CD, GitHub, Windows, and Linux.
• Telecommuting is available anywhere in the United States.
