Active Directory Administrator (with German)

Location: Worldwide; remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 1,900–3,200 gross per month; final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Upgrade Quest Active Administrator from version 8.9.0.301 to 8.9.1.9 and update agents on Domain Controllers.
• Migrate Quest Active Administrator to a Windows Server 2025 environment, including database and agent migration.
• Evaluate Azure SQL Managed Instance and optimize database logging and archive log configurations.
• Review agent and service permissions according to Tier 0 security principles and evaluate gMSA usage.
• Consolidate security delegations and templates, and optimize PowerShell scripts for standard Organizational Units.
• Manage GPO history, backups, recovery, attribute-level object recovery, and Domain Controller log collectors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Quest Active Administrator environments.
• Experience with solution upgrades, agent updates, Active Directory Domain Controllers, database migration, and database setup.
• Knowledge of Azure Managed MSSQL Database Service evaluation and implementation scenarios.
• Experience with Tier 0 security concepts, permission models, gMSA, delegation management, GPOs, and PowerShell scripts.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or above.
• German at Upper-Intermediate level or above.
