Support Developer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (.NET)

What you will do

• Provide application and operational support to product owners, customers, and users across the business.
• Maintain databases and ensure systems contain accurate, up-to-date operational data.
• Assess and prioritise incidents based on business impact, escalating high-priority issues when required.
• Record incidents and service requests in ServiceNow and protect data integrity.
• Identify and resolve production incidents and issues in existing applications.
• Support application improvements, new functionality, and guidance for the Application Support team.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft C#, .NET Framework, VB6, and .NET Core.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Windows and web applications, Test Driven Development, and Model View Controller architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively, and identify technical or operational improvements.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup based in Leicester, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Google G Suite, Kubernetes, Azure, SOA, or Web APIs.
• Retail industry experience.
• ITIL Foundation or awareness of ITIL incident, service request, change, and major incident processes.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
