Field Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery and design end-to-end architectures for AI, analytics, cloud-native applications, and large-scale data platforms.
• Design data stack solutions covering ingestion, CDC, batch and streaming pipelines, processing, lakehouse storage, catalogs, query engines, orchestration, governance, and AI integration.
• Define and validate AI/ML training and inference, analytics, lakehouse, and high-performance data pipeline architectures.
• Act as a subject matter expert in AIStor, object storage, S3-compatible architectures, distributed systems, replication, erasure coding, security, and performance tuning.
• Own customer PoCs from scope definition through deployment, integration, functional and performance testing, technical review, and production planning.
• Guide Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments, deliver technical presentations and workshops, support RFPs and RFIs, and provide feedback to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a senior customer-facing technical role such as Field Architect, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
• Hands-on experience designing, integrating, and troubleshooting end-to-end data platforms and AI, machine learning, analytics, lakehouse, or large-scale data pipeline environments.
• Strong understanding of object storage and S3-compatible architectures, including security, replication, data protection, performance, and scale-out design.
• Experience with Linux, networking, storage systems, containers, Kubernetes, modern data center infrastructure, and public or hybrid cloud environments.
• Practical experience with technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, NiFi, Spark, Flink, Trino, Starburst, Iceberg, Delta Lake, or data catalogs.
• Strong discovery, architecture, troubleshooting, presentation, whiteboarding, collaboration, and customer-success skills; willingness to travel as needed and a technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
