Go Architect / Solution Architect — Fintech

Location: Candidates must be physically located outside Russia and Belarus, preferably within GMT+1 to GMT+5.

Compensation: Up to €7,000/month, depending on experience and location.

Role

You will be responsible for designing and evolving scalable backend architectures and making key technical decisions for distributed, high-load systems. You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to define architecture, design APIs and distributed services, and ensure scalability, reliability, security, and observability. The project also involves practical AI/LLM integration into enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable backend architectures using Go
• Make technical and architectural decisions for distributed and high-load systems
• Design APIs, microservices, integrations, and data flows
• Define approaches for scalability, fault tolerance, reliability, security, and observability
• Participate in architecture reviews and create technical/design documentation
• Guide engineering teams on architectural and technical decisions
• Review technical solutions and identify architectural risks and improvements
• Work with databases, message brokers, containers, and cloud infrastructure
• Support CI/CD and production engineering practices
• Contribute to practical AI/LLM integration into enterprise systems

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of production Go experience
• Strong knowledge of Go and concurrency
• Experience with distributed, high-load, and microservice architectures
• Strong system and API design experience
• Experience with databases and message brokers
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Understanding of scalability, fault tolerance, reliability, security, and observability
• Experience conducting architecture reviews and creating technical/design documentation
• Experience with FinTech, banking, insurance, or other regulated/enterprise environments is a strong advantage
• Practical experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into applications or enterprise systems
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• English C1+
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
