TL;DR
Full Stack Developer (Backend) (Cybersecurity) (C#/ .NET/Azure): Building scalable, secure backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, and data platforms for the ION MXDR security platform with an accent on distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and large-scale security telemetry. Focus on designing resilient services, optimizing databases and event-driven pipelines, implementing observability and secure API practices, and maintaining reliable CI/CD deployments.
Location: Remote in Canada

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance backend services for the ION MXDR platform.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, integrations, and customer-facing platform capabilities.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for security telemetry, threat intelligence, and operational analytics.
- Design Azure-based cloud-native architectures and optimize databases, storage, and event-driven systems.
- Improve reliability through monitoring, logging, tracing, automated alerting, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, with experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, distributed systems, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, messaging, event sourcing, and CQRS.
- Experience with automated testing, Git, secure software development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure-native services, Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Redis, Key Vault, Entra ID, and Application Insights.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures, enterprise customer hierarchies, BFF layers, Azure API Management, and Front Door.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, distributed tracing, and large-scale telemetry processing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Graph APIs, SecOps, MDR/XDR, or security incident management.
