TL;DR
AI Lead (Legal Tech): Building and scaling production generative AI systems for website chat, AI phone assistance, and legal document processing with an accent on agentic workflows, RAG, and LLM-based architectures. Location: Remote in Germany, Portugal, Spain, or the United Kingdom; must be located within the CET -2/+2 time zone

What you will do
- Define and execute the AI roadmap across the company’s website chatbot, AI phone assistant, and case file and document AI products.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the AI team while setting technical direction and development standards.
- Architect and implement production-ready generative AI systems across voice, chat, and document workflows.
- Contribute hands-on to core AI systems, including architecture, implementation, and optimization.
- Design agentic workflows, RAG systems, and LLM-based architectures for multiple products.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable AI features and communicate strategy to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of experience building and shipping applied AI systems in production.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI systems and/or RAG in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend development for AI-driven products.
- Experience leading or mentoring AI engineers and setting technical direction.
- Experience owning and delivering AI features end-to-end in a product environment.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, monitoring, and observability tools such as LangSmith or Langfuse.

- Experience balancing hands-on engineering with technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong product mindset and ability to translate AI capabilities into practical user value.
