AI Engineer (LLM/Fintech): Building production AI workflows for finance operations, from invoice processing and transaction matching to policy checks, approvals, and ERP posting, with an accent on agentic systems, RAG, evaluation, and observability. Location: Remote or hybrid based out of São Paulo, Brazil; flexible access to the office at complexo JK Iguatemi.

What you will do
- Own finance AI workflows end to end, from problem definition and design through production launch and continuous improvement.
- Build agentic and LLM-based systems combining extraction, retrieval, reasoning, tool use, and human review.
- Develop production-grade LLM pipelines with structured outputs, validation, fallbacks, confidence scoring, and model cost and latency optimization.
- Design RAG components using chunking, embeddings, vector search, and re-ranking for customer documents and policies.
- Build evaluations, monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and audit trails for AI decisions.
- Set AI engineering patterns and tooling, review system designs, and help engineers use coding agents effectively.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and operating AI or LLM systems in production.
- Experience owning large systems or workflows end to end with limited direction.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI, including structured outputs, error handling, and evaluation.
- Experience with agentic or multi-step AI workflows, tool orchestration, human review, or RAG systems with vector databases.
- Strong Python and backend fundamentals, including REST APIs, relational databases, asynchronous patterns, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Professional fluency in English, written and spoken.

- Fintech, financial services, regulated-industry, finance automation, or back-office workflow experience.
- Technical leadership of a project or small engineering group.
- Startup or scale-up experience building systems from scratch.
- Spanish or Portuguese fluency.
- Open-source contributions, technical writing, or applied AI talks.
