Principal AI/ML Architect

Location: Spain (fully remote)

What you will do

• Define technical strategy and architecture for scalable machine learning, search, and agentic AI solutions.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Lead and mentor ML engineering teams while taking responsibility for technical delivery.
• Architect and implement agentic workflows, agent-based and multi-agent systems, and complex RAG pipelines.
• Oversee projects from discovery and architectural design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in machine learning and software engineering.
• Experience architecting and delivering large-scale, production-grade AI/ML systems.
• Significant client-facing, consulting, architectural, leadership, and project management experience.
• Deep expertise in Python and its data science ecosystem.
• Practical expertise with LLMs, LangChain or LangGraph, classical ML at scale, learning to rank, recommender algorithms, RAG, and fine-tuning.
• Strong foundations in software architecture, MLOps, AWS or GCP, scalability, reliability, and low-latency systems; a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with TensorFlow, LightGBM, CatBoost, FastAPI, Docker, MLflow, Kubeflow, Langfuse, or LlamaIndex.
