Location: Hybrid, with attendance at the London office 2 days per week

hirify.global develops the LINQ platform, combining hardware and software to automate laboratory workflows for life sciences, diagnostics, drug discovery and synthetic biology.

What you will do

• Lead the People and Workplace function across the UK, US and Germany while reporting to the CFO.
• Advise the executive team on organisation design, workforce planning, culture, capability and people costs.
• Own payroll, benefits, employee relations, policies, HR administration, HR technology, people data and reward management.
• Lead and develop a team of four and manage external payroll, benefits, legal, recruitment and immigration partners.
• Oversee offices, labs, workshops, health and safety, insurance, internal communications and company events.
• Own recruitment, performance management, learning and development, engagement, and immigration support.

Requirements

• Senior HR or People leadership experience in a technology or science business, ideally in deep tech, robotics, life sciences or hardware.
• Experience leading a People function in a start-up or scale-up through rapid growth and change.
• Experience operating across multiple countries, ideally including the UK, US and Germany.
• Experience leading and developing a small team while remaining hands-on.
• Knowledge of HR best practice, UK employment law, and US and German employment frameworks.
• Strong financial literacy, data skills, judgement, discretion and stakeholder influence.

Nice to have

• Experience managing visa sponsorship and immigration across multiple countries.
• Experience with management information, facilities, health and safety, and reward strategy.
• CIPD Level 7, SHRM-SCP or an equivalent professional qualification.
