Compounding Pharmacist

What you will do

• Provide professional pharmacist oversight of compounding activities.
• Review prescriptions and confirm the clinical and pharmaceutical suitability of compounded preparations.
• Perform pharmacist checks and support the final release of compounded medicines.
• Advise the compounding team and help resolve issues during preparation.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, approved formulations, batch documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support new formulations, process improvements, deviations, investigations, and quality documentation.

Requirements

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is required.
• High professional expertise and strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local services.
• Excellent face-to-face communication and customer-care skills.
• Ability to collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, compounding operatives, and Quality colleagues.
• Willingness to work across compounding and standard pharmacy operations according to business and patient needs.
• Compounding, manufacturing, aseptic services, quality assurance, or controlled pharmaceutical environment experience is advantageous; training can be provided.
