Compounding In-Process Checker

hirify.global is a healthcare scale-up operating a pharmacy compounding operation.

What you will do

• Perform independent in-process checks during the preparation, filling, packaging, and final reconciliation of compounded medicines.
• Verify products, formulations, strengths, batch sizes, materials, batch numbers, expiry dates, quantities, weights, calculations, and traceability.
• Check room and equipment status, line clearance, setup, processing parameters, and required in-process controls.
• Review batch records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved procedures.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate errors, discrepancies, deviations, and out-of-specification results.
• Work with Compounding Operatives, Pharmacists, and the Quality team to support right-first-time production and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, compounding, pharmacy, or another regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence independently checking another person’s work.
• Good numeracy skills, including checking weights, quantities, and calculations.
• Ability to follow SOPs, batch records, and written instructions accurately.
• Good documentation and organisational skills, with confidence identifying and escalating discrepancies.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with patient safety as a priority.

Nice to have

• Pharmacy, science, or manufacturing background.
• Experience completing GMP documentation and batch records.
• Experience operating pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
