Support Engineering Intern (AI & Automation Focus) (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Work with a mentor on live Level 1 customer support tickets and help drive timely resolution.
• Investigate technical issues by gathering information, analyzing logs, reproducing problems, and identifying root causes.
• Help customers install, configure, and integrate hirify.global products.
• Build and maintain lab environments for reproducing customer scenarios.
• Escalate complex cases with clear troubleshooting notes and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA.
• Identify repetitive support tasks and experiment with AI-assisted research, case summaries, documentation, and automation.

Requirements

• Currently studying toward a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or recently graduated.
• Available for the full six-month internship for at least 30 hours per week.
• Comfortable using Windows and Linux, including navigating filesystems, reading logs, installing software, and working in a terminal.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, ports, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills with a willingness to ask questions and learn quickly.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot for practical tasks.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or Salesforce Service Cloud.
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Interest in malware analysis, threat detection, secure file transfer, OT/ICS environments, personal projects, hackathons, CTFs, or open-source work.
