Deployment Support Technician (IoT)

What you will do

• Provide technical support to Field Operations Technicians during hardware installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Monitor deployed hardware, investigate system alerts and device downtime, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
• Identify recurring issues, develop solutions, and automate repetitive deployment and support tasks.
• Partner with software engineers to troubleshoot technical challenges, improve internal tools, and convert field feedback into actionable requirements.
• Pilot new tools and workflows with Field Operations and support continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in a hands-on technical role such as IT support, field service, electronics repair, hardware testing, or lab operations.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or query language: Python, SQL, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ability to write simple queries and read table structures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with field technicians and software engineers.
• Technical degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Experience with hardware devices, networking connectivity, IoT systems, technical equipment, sensors, or embedded devices is beneficial.

• CompTIA A+ or another relevant technical certification.
