TL;DR
Senior Platform Engineer (Golang) (Kubernetes/cloud-native platforms): Building and operating scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes-based platform services with an accent on Go development, distributed systems, and production reliability. Focus on designing Kubernetes Operators and CRDs, automating infrastructure with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, and improving observability, availability, and incident response.

Location: Remote from Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania

What you will do

  • Design and develop cloud-native platform services, Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions using Go.
  • Own service delivery across architecture, implementation, deployment, production operations, reliability, scalability, and incident resolution.
  • Build, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain Kubernetes clusters throughout their lifecycle.
  • Implement GitOps delivery processes with ArgoCD or Flux and automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability with Prometheus and Grafana, including SLI and SLO management.
  • Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, DevOps, architecture, and product engineering teams while contributing through code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production-grade Golang development for backend services and cloud-native applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering production Kubernetes clusters from scratch, including deployment, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience developing Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and CRDs with Go.
  • Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, Linux administration, shell scripting, PostgreSQL, and operational automation.
  • Proficiency with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Strong English communication skills and experience working autonomously in Agile, multicultural, and distributed teams.
