IA Engineer Intern (x/f/m) - Nantes (AI)

Location: Nantes, France. Hybrid work setup with up to 2 remote days per week.

What you will do

• Contribute to AI features and services with guidance from experienced AI and software engineers.
• Write Python code for prototypes, experiments, evaluation tools, and backend components.
• Experiment with large language models, prompting techniques, retrieval, and tool integration.
• Develop automated tests and documentation for AI components.
• Investigate issues, analyse results, suggest improvements, and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Work through the stages of an AI product from experimentation to production integration.

Requirements

• Final-year degree student in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic Python experience from coursework, personal projects, research, or previous internships.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts, data structures, and software development.
• Curiosity about artificial intelligence and how AI systems work.
• Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.
• Available for a full-time, six-month internship starting in March 2027 in Nantes with a hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning, natural language processing, or large language models.
• Experience with LangChain, Google ADK, AI APIs, prompting, retrieval, or conversational interfaces.
• Experience taking products to production and supporting real users.
• Experience with Git, APIs, testing, or data analysis.
• Interest in healthcare, privacy, or responsible AI.
