Process Development Sr Associate (Biotech)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; Flex Commuter / Hybrid

Salary: $91,125–$108,296 annual base salary, plus eligibility for bonus and stock-based incentives.

What you will do

• Develop and qualify analytical methods using HPLC, UHPLC, capillary electrophoresis, and LC-MS.
• Perform chromatographic fractionation, peptide mapping, intact mass analysis, and product characterization and comparability studies.
• Evaluate critical quality attributes, identify and characterize attributes, and analyze isolated chromatography fractions.
• Conduct accelerated stability studies to define therapeutic degradation pathways.
• Author laboratory notebooks and method development reports, and support method transfer and troubleshooting with Attribute Sciences and Quality Control teams.
• Support GMP laboratory operations, analytical technology innovation, process development, validation studies, and responses to health-authority questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in the offered role or a research-related occupation.
• At least two years of analytical chemistry experience with protein molecules, including degradation experiments, project deliverables, and data analysis using Empower, Chromeleon, and ChemStation.
• Experience with analytical method development, qualification, transfer, troubleshooting, statistical evaluation, and instrumentation including HPLC, LC-MS, SoloVPE, capillary electrophoresis, Waters, Agilent, and Maurice platforms.
• Technical knowledge of proteins and peptides, pharmaceutical process and product development, and analytical deliverables.
• Experience implementing laboratory SOPs under GLP standards and recording experimental conditions, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks.
