Research Associate II, Analytical Development (Cell Therapy)

Location: Onsite in Torrey Pines, California, United States; Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with manager-approved flexibility.

Annual base pay: $83,400–$91,740, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Perform cell-based assays and maintain mammalian cell cultures in support of analytical and process development.
• Characterize cells using Mass Cytometry, Flow Cytometry, HPLC, ELISA, MSD, and molecular assays.
• Develop, optimize, qualify, validate, and transfer analytical methods for cell therapy products.
• Design experiments for potency testing, lead candidate selection, product release, stability, and characterization.
• Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments and support efficient laboratory operations.
• Develop SOPs, analytical test methods, sampling plans, and batch records while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience with immunoassay technologies including Mass Cytometry, flow cytometry, HPLC, ELISA, and MSD.
• Experience with molecular assays such as Q-PCR and immunoassay data analysis.
• Competence in mammalian cell culture in a BSL2 laboratory and knowledge of aseptic processing.
• Knowledge of analytical method development, technology transfer, qualification, and validation.
• Ability to work onsite in the Torrey Pines laboratory during regular business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with cell therapy products, including NK and T cells.
• Experience with FlowJo, Prism, JMP, PLA 3.0, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
