Solution Architect – DevOps Pipeline

Location: Houston, Texas, United States of America. Relocation may be considered within hirify.global parameters. Expatriate assignments will not be considered.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture for CI/CD and developer platform solutions.
• Design and standardize enterprise pipeline patterns covering build, testing, deployment, and artifact management.
• Lead development platform modernization, toolchain integrations, GitHub Enterprise adoption, and open-source software governance.
• Evaluate AI opportunities and integrations that improve pipeline capabilities and developer productivity.
• Partner with product owners, technical leads, cybersecurity teams, architects, and vendors to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, manage technical risks and debt, and support cost analysis, feasibility assessments, and implementation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in software development and solution architecture, including 3 years in solution architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Experience designing enterprise-level platforms and services for developers and engineering teams.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
• Ability to apply architecture styles, design patterns, cloud-native practices, security controls, and compliance requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available, and candidates with time-limited visa status will not be considered.

Nice to have

• GitHub Enterprise expertise at scale across many repositories and cross-organizational dependencies.
• Oil and gas industry experience, a cloud-first and agile mindset, and full application stack capabilities.
• Experience with complex infrastructure, ideally Ansible.
• Application inventory management and infrastructure governance experience, preferably with ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with FinOps, cost recovery models, and AI tokenization usage.
