Senior Field Applications Engineer (Ethernet)

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for high-speed wired connectivity and communication infrastructure products.
• Advise strategic customers on system architecture, technology selection, product integration, and design decisions.
• Conduct architecture and schematic reviews, support design-in activities, and deliver product training.
• Troubleshoot wired connectivity products and embedded-system solutions through post-production.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, customers, and internal engineering teams to drive design wins and influence product direction.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of relevant design or applications experience in embedded systems, hardware, software, firmware, networking, Ethernet, or semiconductor technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, high-speed digital interfaces, PCIe, CXL, SerDes, SoC architectures, or related board- and system-level design.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or equivalent, plus familiarity with Linux networking and operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in Saigon, Vietnam.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PCIe solutions.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication protocols.
• Experience with Ethernet switches, PHYs, controllers, IEEE 1588, Secure Ethernet switches, USB, USB hubs, USB PD, automotive networking, industrial networking, or SPE T1S solutions.
