What you will do

• Support in-service operating systems and equipment through ongoing maintenance, optimization, and sustainment.
• Determine and implement technically feasible and economically viable sustainment solutions.
• Analyze operational issues and improve system and equipment sustainability during continued operation and unexpected changes.
• Develop design changes, materials, and product, process, and test specification revisions to improve quality, reliability, design integrity, and manufacturability.
• Collect service and maintenance data, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions for in-service problems.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and lower-level specialists while leading projects or processes as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no required experience.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision on difficult, complex technical problems.
• Experience analyzing systems, products, or processes and recommending performance improvements.
• Ability to communicate with senior customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Capability to coach colleagues and manage projects, including delegation and review of work.
